About Raphael

Full-stack developer graduated from Epitech, I work on web projects from A to Z, from requirements gathering to deployment.
I've had the chance to work in various environments: startups, large public organizations, international projects with distributed teams. These experiences have taught me to adapt quickly, both technically and interpersonally. I place great importance on code quality, best practices, and understanding the business needs behind what I develop.
On the stack side, I am comfortable with React, TypeScript, Vue.js, Laravel, Django, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. I enjoy experimenting with modern technologies on personal projects to form a concrete opinion on tools and be able to recommend the best stack according to a project's needs.
What sets me apart is my background in project management; having held Product Owner and Project Manager roles alongside development, I can bridge the gap between technical teams and stakeholders. A concrete asset when it comes to translating needs into features or coordinating a delivery.
Outside of work, I play badminton at a competitive level, soon competing nationally. A discipline that has instilled in me a taste for progress and pressure management.

Within a startup, I contributed to the full-stack development of the platform, working across the entire chain: front-end, back-end, database, and DevOps (CI/CD). Design and development of an application capable of detecting a user's mood via connected objects, phone sensors, and in-app forms. This allows for personalized playlist recommendations by analyzing the emotions conveyed by the songs.
I simultaneously held the roles of Product Owner / Project Manager and Web Developer within a globally distributed team, which required me to implement rigorous remote organization: coordinating time zones, asynchronous communication, tracking deliverables, and adapting task allocation to individual constraints.

  • DÉPARTEMENT DE LA RÉUNION,
    Web Developer Intern
    PUBLIC SECTOR
    January 2023 - June 2023 (5 months)
    Saint-Denis, Réunion
Complete redesign from scratch of an internal tool intended to centralize information for a business department within a large organization. Project managed autonomously within a team of 4 interns, without direct technical supervision.
I participated in the entire cycle: gathering requirements from end-users (public with a higher average age, requiring particular attention to UX), mockups on Figma, then full-stack development. During the project, the team decided to migrate from React to Vue.js to standardize technologies with the internal IT department and ensure maintainability after our departure — a decision we collectively supported.
I also provided mentorship to interns who joined the project along the way.
    Figma mockups → Laravel / Vue.js development
    User requirements gathering and analysis
Technical decision to migrate React → Vue.js to ensure application longevity
    Mentoring new interns
    Vue.js React.js Laravel Figma PHP/MySQL
