As part of this project, our goal was to improve and develop a replay application for a major private national channel, intended for Freebox users. The first version of the application, currently in production, targeted a wide audience but encountered performance and maintainability issues with its software base.

    Main objective:
Catch up on existing features, refactor code to optimize performance on less powerful machines (such as Freebox mini-4k), and improve test coverage.

    Team composition:
The L33T team responsible for this project consisted of four JavaScript experts.

    Design and development:

Creation of a dedicated children's area, with access control to prevent redirection to inappropriate content.
Design of a multi-level navigation bar with Qt animations (states/transitions).
Development of a "Store" providing a single data source for all application levels.
    Design of a scrolling system.
Addition of features (profile switching, bookmarking).
Implementation of unit and functional tests.
    Debugging and various improvements.
    Modifications of middlewares.
    Infrastructure and deployment:

Continuous integration with Github CI and use of Husky as a hook.
Jenkins for managing branch instances and build tests.
    Organization and methodology:

Adoption of YAGNI, DRY, KISS, and TDD principles.
Use of Git with a preference for rebase over merge, ensuring that diffs are representative and the code is well-documented.
    Implementation of pair programming.
Project management according to Agile/Scrum methodology.
