Quirien Verbakel

As an Industrial Designer (TU Delft, 1996), I am familiar with all phases of the innovation process: from ideation to bringing a product to market. I have personally gone through some phases intensively multiple times, allowing me to specialize.

My career (see LinkedIn for details) has brought me a wealth of experience:

- Technical roles, commercial roles, product development, and consulting;

- Industries such as manufacturing, high-tech, consumer electronics, and the recreation sector;

- SMEs, corporate organizations, and (semi-)government;

- Profit and non-profit;

- Business-to-business and Business-to-consumer oriented.

My drive lies in the substance, my talent in the process. I have always chosen to broaden my knowledge and have taken on steering roles such as Project and Program Management. This comes naturally to me: I quickly grasp the substance, see connections, and know where I want to go. As a leader, I am firm in my approach but caring for the team. I enjoy fulfilling the role of a hands-on leader.

Since 2024, I have been working as an independent professional on a variety of assignments. You could say, as an 'innovation jack-of-all-trades' or, in business jargon, an all-round innovation professional. Sometimes I work on a long-term contract, sometimes for a limited number of hours per week, and sometimes through a short intensive program.
