Twenty years of professional experience, with over a decade in information security and more recently risk management. I spent many years building and breaking software, mostly in emerging technologies, developing and leading teams around me.

A drive to solve problems at a broader scale shifted my focus from technical to managerial challenges, leading me to focus not only on security, but also on underlying organisational problems, such as fragmented processes, unclear ownership and communication gaps. Having built a foundation in business administration, I took particular interest in risk (and risk quantification) as a common denominator in many of these issues, as well as decision theory and system dynamics - academic fields which provide tools needed to deal with organisational issues.
