Philippe Nguyen

My name is Philippe Nguyen, I am an illustrator and a graduate of EESI Angoulême. The majority of my work is done on paper, and I generally opt for pencil and ink drawing. My style is inspired by etchings, manga, and video games, which explains my preference for black and white, halftones, and compositions that are mostly very centered. My illustrations are often dotted with small details, cracks, trinkets lying around (etc.), resulting in rather cluttered images. For coloring, I lean towards watercolor, gouache, or markers, but I also sometimes retouch them with software. You can find my work on Instagram and Tumblr @y4nm4.
