Peggy Riess

Managroup is a troupe of amateur artists united by their passion for dance and theater, a mix of people from 12 to 70 years old, half of whom have disabilities. They meet every year for a weekly rehearsal with dancer and choreographer Nicole Ponzio. In collaboration with videographer Loïc Léglise, we are making a documentary about the creative work of this diverse troupe. As rehearsals progress, characters are built and we get to know their performers, some with very loud voices, others on the verge of silence. Through them, we are confronted with disability, or rather with the sensation of constraint, the one that is overcome to create and which becomes an ally, a source of poetry.
