All pages suffered from slow loading times and a lack of H1 tags. A large number of pages had a title tag that could be significantly improved and sometimes content that was too short. These are the main criteria to improve quickly to rank higher on Google.Furthermore, the On-page audit revealed many areas for improvement to reduce the bounce rate and keep users on the site, key factors for Google in terms of the quality of content offered.I was then asked to resolve the problems identified by the audit, which involved the following optimizations:Technical Optimization:- Page loading speed- Mobile display- Presence of redirection problems- Indexation quality: Robots.txt, Sitemap, Number of indexed pages, Number of indexable pages- Presence of duplicate content (Meta description and at the page level)- Presence of 404 errors, if any, with incoming links.- Site architecture quality: page depth- Internal linking quality and optimization of internal link anchors.On-Page Optimization:- Keyword at the beginning of the title, in the meta-description, in the first sentences of the article, ALT attribute of images containing the keyword, presence of the keyword in the last sentence of the article.- Presence of internal links from the first lines of the article (to reduce bounce rate and increase average visit duration)- Presence of external links to authority sites related to the client's site- Presence of images or videos- Presence of an H1 title and presence of the main keyword in the H1 title- Presence of Social Media sharing buttons on each page, clearly visible- Content as long as possible (+1500 words/article)- Presence of keyword synonyms (LSI) in the article- Engaging first paragraph to increase average session duration, avoid a large image at the beginning of the article, opting for a smaller image on the right, accompanied by text on the left, to encourage the user to read the article's introduction and thus stay on the site.- Optimized article titles to increase Click-Through-Rate CTR, a signal used by Google to rank sites. Article titles neither too short nor too long.
