Pauline Formosa

Let me introduce myself, my name is Pauline Formosa, my artist name is Nana. I am a multidisciplinary artist currently living and working in Strasbourg.

After studying architectural design, I moved into visual communication.

At the same time, my attraction to mural painting and illustration continues to grow.

In 2021, I painted my first mural at the Colors Urban Art festival in Strasbourg. It was thanks to this first project that I found my artistic style and began to develop it on different media, with different techniques and on various scales. The materials and tools vary depending on the projects. Whether it's mural painting, canvas painting, linocut, cut paper, I adapt according to my desires, requests, and constraints.

My universe is shaped by my daily life; I draw my inspiration from my surroundings, particularly architecture, space design, as well as the crafts of my region and elsewhere. I assemble these different elements like a construction game, which in turn become colorful staged scenes. Dreamlike compositions that combine geometric and organic shapes, to which I add textures, patterns, as well as symmetrical flowers and plants to find a harmonious balance between the elements.
