Olivier Marteaux

As a Solar Array Product Architect, I am responsible for the mechanical and thermal design and architecture of the solar array subsystem of a satellite. I guide design choices through trade-offs, involving all stakeholders (analysis, design, AIT, technology, quality). I manage the design justification and product qualification elements. I supervise the activities of mechanical and thermal analysts and CAD designers. I verify and negotiate mechanical and thermal interfaces with the satellite system. I write component technical specifications for suppliers and assembly and integration specifications for AIT. I participate in internal and supplier non-conformities for evaluation and decision-making. I participate in client and supplier reviews. I write product and project documentation (development plan, MCI budget, design description, ICD, IDS).

As the lead mechanical analyst for solar arrays,

I am responsible for the mechanical component sizing of the solar array (sandwich panel, yokes, fittings, hinges, stacking columns and feet). I specify and analyze the mechanical qualification tests of the solar array: sinusoidal and acoustic vibrations, stiffness tests, static load tests. I work with the Product Architect to resolve mechanical issues encountered during the development, testing, and manufacturing of the solar array. I participate in client reviews to present the product's mechanical analysis results throughout its development phase.

I write the mechanical justification documentation, an integral part of the datapack for client reviews.

I worked on improving working conditions and production flow in the heatpipe production workshop, implementing compliance with safety regulations and lean engineering for each workstation.
