Illicado, a leader in gift card sales, had a long-standing partnership with Oney for the production and distribution of cards. In the context of the separation of the two groups, Illicado needed to recreate the entire order orchestration process for cards, from production to activation with the end customer, including manufacturing, invoicing, delivery, and payment. This had to be done within a very short timeframe, as Illicado had to switch to the new system by mid-2025 to continue selling cards. My expertise in e-commerce and strategic IT migration projects enabled me to successfully lead the project, with the following tasks:
• Architect
• Implementation of functional architecture related to the existing system, replacing ONEY with HPS (a card manufacturer in the banking sector).
• Implementation of the OMS architecture focused on microservices and event-driven (pub/sub) within an already widespread API/Microservice ecosystem.
