Deployed as Software Engineer & IT Consultant in an industrial project focused on IoT and data-driven maintenance processes. In various roles, I further developed backend components, internal tools, and data processing pipelines.

The main task was to extend existing event streaming and ETL logic to reliably connect a new, cloud-based technology from an external partner company to the existing system. The challenge was to adapt existing data flows and integrate them stably into the overarching infrastructure.

Additionally, a local test environment was set up to simulate cloud-based systems. The project was primarily managed remotely.

Technical lead in the development of scalable cloud and IoT systems with a focus on backend architecture, messaging, and data processing.

Hands-on responsibility for system design, architectural decisions, prototyping, and the implementation of central backend components.

I significantly optimized the development process through my own initiative – including unifying all services, full Dockerization, and a local development environment based on Docker Compose, which enabled debugging across multiple services.

In a later step, the environments were migrated to Kubernetes to enable production-like testing and scaling.

Collaboration with internal and external teams to successfully implement technical requirements.

Software Architect and interim Lead Backend Engineer for the migration of a Ruby-on-Rails monolith to distributed Node.js-based cloud services.

Responsible for software and API design, architectural decisions, and the technical direction of the backend.

Integration of Auth0 as a central identity management system into a new, maintainable microservice architecture.
