I graduated in 1991 with a master's degree in Spanish and modern languages (cand.ling.merc.) and a bachelor EA in English from under Aarhus University in Denmark.

Since March 1991, when I obtained state certification as a translator and interpreter of Spanish, I have pursued a professional career in translation and interpretation.

I am well-versed in Spanish and Latin American history, politics, and economy, an interest solidified by study stays in Málaga and Madrid. Over the past 30 years, I have traveled and stayed extensively in Spain, Chile, Argentina, and Uruguay.

After completing my academic training, I received a Robert Schumann Scholarship as a stagiaire in the Danish translation department of the European Parliament in Luxembourg.

Upon returning to Denmark, I started my own business in Copenhagen and soon had the opportunity to move to San Francisco for six months, where I worked mainly with the Latin American community in California.

Later, I collaborated with Danida, the Danish development cooperation organization, translating numerous publications and presentations focused on Danida's program countries, including Nicaragua. Subsequently, I worked with the Danish Environmental Protection Agency, participating in the translation of major reports and presentations. I translated the book "Environmental Management in Denmark" into Spanish, published by the Ministry of Environment.

Since 2008, I have worked as a translator, partner, and general manager in the company ad Astra Translatører ApS.
