As a certified geriatric nurse, I am responsible for the comprehensive care, nursing, and support of elderly people to maintain and promote their independence and quality of life. My core duties include performing basic and specialized nursing care, such as personal hygiene, mobilization, medication administration as prescribed by a doctor, and the professional execution of prophylactic measures. I plan, document, and evaluate all nursing interventions in close coordination with doctors, therapists, and relatives.

Furthermore, the organization and coordination of individual care plans and the implementation of medical orders are part of my daily routine. I conduct regular observations and checks of the health status, recognize changes early, and initiate appropriate measures. Empathy, patience, and communication skills are essential to address the physical and psychological needs of the residents. I also accompany the individuals entrusted to me through difficult life phases, offer emotional support, and actively participate in creating a appreciative, safe, and respectful living environment.

In addition to practical nursing, I also handle administrative tasks such as complete nursing documentation, collaboration with relatives, and participation in quality circles and interdisciplinary team meetings. Through my expertise, I contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and the assurance of high nursing quality. My work requires a sense of responsibility, organizational talent, teamwork, and the ability to act both independently and cooperatively.
