About Nathalie

I am a print and web journalist in various fields and the founder of a cinema news website. For nearly fifteen years, I have been navigating between two media that allow me to refine my prolific writing.

I cover all editorial formats and numerous universes: the seventh art, culture, art, architecture, decor, graphic design, books, music, photography, sports... My field of exploration is therefore diverse.

My achievements include: a 10-page feature on tennis in comics; an 18-page article on the artistic customization of tennis courts; book and comic book reviews; an in-depth article on the history and illustrated covers of The New Yorker; on the history of NASA's iconic Worm logo; portraits of graphic designers and designers (Chermayeff & Geismar); graphic designers and photographers (Herbert Matter); illustrators (Laurent Durieux, Malika Favre); iconic architects (Zaha Hadid, John Lautner); music artists (Sophie Hunger); cinema (Jean-Luc Godard); visual artists (Peter Stampfli); photographers (Tom Blachford, Marcel Hartmann); pastry chefs (Pierre Hermé).

But also interviews from the world of art (Valérie Belin, Gérard Fromanger, Marjane Satrapi); in cinema (Joe Dante, Tobe Hooper, Lloyd Kaufman); fashion, music and cinema (Emmanuelle Seigner); in special effects (Phil Tippett, Joe Letteri, Dennis Muren).

Or even music reviews (image and sound) for Blu-ray releases (Pink Floyd, Maria Callas, Rolling Stones, Miles Davis); photo reports on interiors (Nicky Dobree's luxury chalets)...

I cover festivals, such as Cannes. I participated in the press kit for the documentary RBG (Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the US Supreme Court justice) for an interview with the actress who voices her in French.

I am available, fast, curious, eclectic, reliable, versatile, and capable of managing multiple assignments at the same time.

Author of a first book (an essay) "Jim Morrison, les voies impénétrables", to be published by Double Ligne in Fall 2026.

    Description of the work

Jim Morrison was a clairvoyant and attentive observer of the world. A deeply intelligent, humorous, and sensitive being, in search of truth and meaning. From his teenage years, he was already that unique boy who devoured Nietzsche, Rimbaud, Kerouac, and Blake, filled notebooks with poems, and enjoyed hitchhiking.
In the ferment of the sixties, he continued to lead the bohemian life he had chosen.

The essay-style narrative explores his work and personality through his vision of itinerancy that spanned his twenty-seven years of existence. An angle that has been little explored in depth. The rock star in black leather fades away, giving way to the writer and traveling poet. From sprawling Los Angeles to intellectual Paris, Jim opened up multiple paths, where encounters, adventure, the road, hitchhiking, the city, and America punctuate his incandescent work.

Poems, texts, and interview fragments, anecdotes, excerpts from The Doors songs, and recording sessions punctuate his physical and spiritual journeys. The films HWY and Feast of Friends, as well as his Shelby 500GT, are naturally part of this existential road trip with this rootless traveler whom we constantly seek to understand.
