Specializing in the Purchasing function for nearly 10 years, most of the files I have managed were in the category of works (civil engineering, masonry, plumbing, metalwork, painting, catenary, traction, electricity, fire safety systems, etc.) with an average minimum project value estimated at 750,000 euros.
The most important procedure I led concerned infrastructure works for the creation of a control station and associated building construction works, as part of the extension of a tramway line. This was a project valued at over 15 million euros, involving meticulous preparation of the tender documents for companies upstream.
Surrounded by internal and external project management, a lawyer, a project manager, and many other stakeholders, if this procedure resulted in a satisfactory outcome, with a gain of over 5%, it is because it was the result of teamwork marked by shared communication and constant interaction.
That said, all my purchasing procedures, from the simplest to the most complex, have been carried out in close collaboration with several stakeholders, a variety of actors and subjects that have made each one unique.
Finally, regarding my choice to work as a buyer in full remote work, it should be noted that since the sad covid-19 pandemic, I have regularly worked remotely, particularly as a self-employed consultant. Thus, I can attest that it does not affect my professionalism, my punctuality, my availability, or my efficiency in any way. In fact, I have never been as productive, high-performing, and fulfilled as in this mode of work.
