Mouetez Belleh Mraihi

As a full-stack developer, I was instrumental in the development and further development of the e-commerce platform for Emotion eBikes – a modern, scalable multi-channel solution based on Commercetools.

Frontend & UX

On the frontend, I used React and Next.js with TypeScript to create performant, SEO-optimized product pages and an intuitive user experience. A particular focus was placed on fast loading times, responsive design, and a smooth customer journey – from product finder to checkout.

Backend & Integrations

On the backend, I developed interfaces and services with Node.js that established a seamless connection between Commercetools, the CMS Contentful, and Airtable for data-driven workflows. Cloud infrastructure and deployments were handled via AWS.

Migration & Modernization

A central part of my work was the migration and modernization of existing shop structures – legacy code was refactored, dependencies updated, and the platform repositioned for future growth.

Performance Optimization

Through targeted performance tuning – including optimized rendering, caching strategies, and efficient API calls – the loading speed and stability of the platform were noticeably improved.

As part of this project, I developed a hybrid mobile app for cyclists that combines real-time geo-information with intelligent route suggestions and runs on both iOS and Android.

Technology & Architecture

The Ionic Framework in combination with TypeScript and SCSS served as the technological basis. The decision for Ionic enabled cross-platform development from a single codebase – efficient, maintainable, and close to native in user experience. TypeScript ensured type-safe, error-resistant logic, while SCSS enabled structured and scalable design of the user interface.

Geoinformation & Routing

A central feature of the app was the integration of real-time geodata. Users can track their current location, plan routes, and receive dynamically calculated suggestions based on cycling-relevant factors such as route length, elevation profile, or preferred path types (e.g., bike paths vs. road). The map integration and geolocation functionality were implemented to remain performant even with weaker network connections.

UX & Performance

A particular focus was on user-friendliness. The app was designed with intuitive navigation that is also operable while riding – with clear gestures, readable maps, and fast loading times. Performance optimizations such as lazy loading and efficient state management ensured that the app runs smoothly even on older devices.

My Contribution

I was significantly involved in the conception of the app architecture, the implementation of core functions, and quality assurance. I worked closely with the team, participated in code reviews, and ensured that the code was clean, documented, and maintainable in the long term.

Development and maintenance of scalable web applications – from the conception of new features to the targeted fixing of bugs in existing systems.

Frontend: Implementation of modern, user-friendly interfaces with React, TypeScript, and Material UI.

Backend: Development of robust server logic and REST APIs with Spring Boot.

Cloud (AWS): Use of a broad AWS stack in the production environment – AppSync, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, EBS, Amplify, CodeCommit, CodeDeploy, and CloudWatch for monitoring and CI/CD.

In addition, active participation in code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge transfer within the team.
