Held in Lomé from January 19 to 23, 2026, the intensive Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) training organized by the West African Development Bank (BOAD) contributed to strengthening the capacities of 20 managers from 8 partner countries, in a regional context marked by increasing demands for accountability, performance, and data-driven decision-making. Designed and delivered using a resolutely operational approach based on 'learning by doing,' the training utilized real projects financed by BOAD to structure the entire M&E cycle, from the theory of change to learning-oriented evaluation. The results demonstrate a tangible impact, with 75% of participants ready to immediately apply the acquired skills and over 80% reporting a substantial increase in their knowledge and abilities, reflecting strong ownership of the tools and harmonization of M&E practices at the regional level. This collective dynamic fostered the sharing of experiences between countries, strengthened the technical leadership of the managers, and contributed to the emergence of a common results-based management culture within the institution.
