Miriam Bröckel

Rhythm, grids, and the fine art of typography – up close and at a larger scale: I love creating rules just as much as I enjoy breaking them. I believe in taming chaos through systematization. Whether it’s clean and classic or wild and progressive, the content always justifies the form.

I studied communication design at the University of Design in Schwäbisch Gmünd and at the Ecole Cantonale d'art de Lausanne (ECAL). As an art director and graphic designer, I’ve worked for some of the most renowned design studios. Since 2017, I’ve been freelancing in both fields.

My recent projects include concept development for visual identity and cross-media implementation, UX/UI design (interfaces, websites, and apps), editorial design (magazines, books, catalogs), communication/reporting, visual design and image creation, book cover design and illustration, and consulting on design matters for both cultural and commercial clients.

Software Skills: I’m proficient in current design software (Adobe Creative Cloud, including After Effects and XD), have a basic knowledge of HTML5/CSS3, familiarity with WordPress CMS, as well as foundational skills in Cinema 4D and Creative Coding with Processing.
