Hello, I'm Mikesch – a geodata analyst with a clear focus on the planning and evaluation of areas for wind and solar projects.

In recent years, I've had the opportunity to support exciting projects in the energy transition – from site assessments of individual plots to white space mapping of entire regions, and the automation of complex GIS workflows.

In addition to classic GIS analysis and geodata processing, I work with Python and develop custom plugins to make processes like site checks and potential area analyses efficient and reproducible.

In the field of remote sensing, I also use AI-based methods, e.g., Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) for image classification and segmentation of satellite and aerial imagery – especially for environmental, land use, and vegetation analyses.

I combine geoscientific expertise with technical precision and the ambition to present even complex issues in an understandable and visually clear manner – for project developers, municipalities, or offices that need reliable decision-making bases.
