About Mickaël

Full-stack developer for about ten years, I have worked in several startups (Lydia, EasyRecrue, Playrion...) and thus encountered several teams and, within them, several departments.

This allows me to have a global vision of all the stages of project realization.

As a web development and, more generally, programming instructor, I favor an interactive and experience-centered approach. I firmly believe that practical learning is essential. Thus, my training focuses on concrete exercises carried out in close collaboration with each learner.

I am convinced of the importance of providing individualized support to foster understanding and learning. I dedicate time to helping each learner solve exercises, thus offering a valuable opportunity for personalized learning.

While theory is crucial for understanding fundamental concepts, I believe programming is a discipline where true understanding emerges from experimentation and real-world problem-solving.

Through diverse and engaging educational content, I aim to make learning these various notions as enjoyable as possible. I offer a variety of stimulating exercises and projects designed to put theoretical concepts into practice while encouraging creativity and innovation.

My preferred languages, JavaScript and PHP, provide a solid foundation for introducing students to web programming and application development.

As a trainer dedicated to professional retraining, I am passionate about guiding individuals towards a rewarding career as a web developer through intensive 5-month bootcamps.

My expertise encompasses in-depth teaching of the Terminal, HTML/CSS, GIT, agile methodology (particularly SCRUM), SQL (using the MySQL DBMS), PHP (Version 8), and the Symfony framework (Version 7). This leads me to specialize in Object-Oriented Programming, MVC architecture, the use of back-end and front-end dependency managers (Composer and Yarn), as well as the integration of REST APIs.

In parallel, I am committed to the continuous improvement of training programs by designing stimulating workshops and exercises to reinforce the understanding and practice of taught concepts.

As an enthusiastic ambassador for the training organization, I actively participate in trade shows, host live sessions on Twitch, and conduct public workshops to share my knowledge and promote professional retraining opportunities in the web development field.

    Full-stack Developer
    TECH
    June 2017 - July 2018 (1 year and 1 month)
    Île-de-France, France
Initially at Lydia, I worked on the KYC (Know Your Customer) process. Indeed, certain identity documents are required if a user wants to verify their account (to send/receive a certain amount of money, for example). Once uploaded, these documents must be validated or not.
My role was to create an internal tool for quick document validation by our agents.

Secondly, I worked on the internationalization of Lydia. Indeed, I had to integrate an external API (CurrencyCloud) to allow our UK users to make transfers.

I then developed several features of the application in collaboration with mobile developers and the UX designer, through the creation/modification of services.
The first was the ability for users to create recurring transactions. To be able to pay or request money from someone on a regular interval (rent, Spotify/Netflix subscription...).
The second was the redesign of the forgotten password system. Indeed, security being a paramount issue at Lydia, we needed a complete process. We therefore worked on a facial recognition API in collaboration with mobile developers.
My time at Lydia concluded with a project to offer 3x interest-free payments for our professional clients. This was very interesting, as it touched the very core of Lydia's business (payments, APIs, professional back office).
Furthermore, it allowed me to reuse the recurring transactions I had worked on previously. Other tasks were entrusted to me:
    - Improvement of the website (HTML5 / CSS3 / Javascript / jQuery)
    - Improvement of scripts for daily transfers.
    - Writing specification documents for these various projects.
