About Mia

Half scientist and half writer/communicator, I graduated from Oxford University with a Master's in Biological Sciences and a Master's in Neuroscience from the Ecole Normale Supérieure, Institut Pasteur, and Pierre and Marie Curie University in Paris.

With 10 years of experience in scientific communication in England and France, my natural curiosity and dedication to making complex topics accessible have shaped my career. Today, I am a full-time freelancer, working hand-in-hand with my clients to share this common enthusiasm. I adapt my services to each individual by offering a tailored and efficient workload.

On a daily basis, I coordinate communication (internal and external) and event projects for the general public as well as researchers. This translates into managing ideas and desires, scientific monitoring, content production and reporting, writing scientific articles, website administration, back-office and associated networks, as well as designing newsletters, infographics, and scientific illustrations. The possibilities are numerous.

I work independently but am in constant contact with teams to best communicate new content. Having been immersed in the field for many years, I have no problem dealing with the scientific world and its specificities. However, I am not just a doer, I am a thinker. I produce, give ideas, create, or improve existing strategies.

Over the past decade, I have worked with non-profit organizations, research centers, national organizations, biomedical industries, and magazines. This provided the opportunity to address topics such as public health, environmental policies, new technologies, and biomedical research, among others.

Very happy with Mia. She did an excellent job of writing, especially on content that was very dense in terms of references. I will definitely work with her again!
