After my time at BASF, I consciously moved to Aira, a dynamic Berlin startup – with the clear goal of getting to know the other side of accounting. What began as a working student position in accounts payable quickly developed further: after only a few months, I also took over accounts receivable and was thus responsible for the company's entire receivables management. I created outgoing invoices, monitored open items, and rebuilt the dunning process from scratch. The move from corporate to startup taught me not only flexibility but also how to build processes independently – instead of just managing them.

Even during my studies, I gained my first practical experience in accounts payable – not as part of a simple internship, but as a working student at BASF, one of the world's largest chemical companies. From the beginning, I took on responsibility: checking incoming invoices, booking business transactions, and maintaining accounts were part of my daily work. This early experience in a corporate environment laid the foundation for my accounting understanding and my structured way of working. While other students were still building theoretical knowledge, I was already working with real numbers, real processes, and real requirements – an experience that continues to shape me today.
