Since 2018, AniPlaylist.com has become the best online reference for finding official music from anime movies and series on Spotify and Apple Music. The site serves as a search engine for a database of over 20K songs manually added by the team and automatically maintained by backend scripts. With 15K monthly active users and a very active presence on Twitter with over 18K followers, we ensure interaction with the community by celebrating and informing anime music fans, or even educating them on some of the subtleties of the Japanese music industry.

The team consists of 11 members spread across the globe (France, Philippines, Denmark, Sweden, Italy, USA, UK).

    Key achievements:
    • Development of HTTP client libraries and web scrapers in Go for online services/sources (iTunes Search API, VGMdb.net, SensCritique)
    • Development of a web browser extension to automatically find Apple Music & iTunes Store links when visiting an album page on VGMdb.net
    • Design of Kibana dashboards to display charts on a Spotify user's listening history
    • Beta testing new features
    • In development: a GraphQL API in Go to automatically find, given a link to an existing song/album, alternative links on all other platforms:
⦿ Streaming: Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, Tidal, Deezer.
⦿ Digital Stores (download): iTunes Store, Amazon Music Store, Ototoy.jp, Mora.jp.
⦿ Physical Stores (CDs): Amazon, CD Japan, Play-Asia.

    • In development: a native iOS application in Swift/SwiftUI for VGMdb.net:
⦿ VGMdb.net is the most comprehensive online resource for video game and anime music releases.
⦿ However, they do not have a mobile app, nor even a responsive design website, so the mobile experience is very frustrating.
⦿ They also do not have an official API, so the application I am developing relies on client-side web scraping using SwiftSoup.

    March 2018 - June 2022 (4 years and 2 months)

Development and maintenance of the internal software engineering portal, providing a central hub for managing all company applications and systems. By collecting data from a variety of external services (GitLab, GitHub, Jira, Slack, etc.) and aggregating it at different levels, this portal exposes key metrics and data to senior management, recruiters, the communication team, and engineering teams to help better steer the company and assess the overall technical health of the information system.

    Key achievements:
    • Design & development of the data collection and synchronization service (Go)
    • Rewriting the GraphQL API from JavaScript/MongoDB to TypeScript/PostgreSQL (Node.js, NestJS)
    • Implementation of Front-end components using data from the GraphQL API (React)
    • Redesign of the application architecture to adapt it to a Veepee-independent system, thus allowing for a Cloud SaaS or open-source self-hosted model (similar to Sourcegraph / GitLab CE / Kibana)
    • Improvement of security and dependency management for over 2,000 Git repositories across the company, by configuring and maintaining on-premise open-source solutions as well as custom-built tools to encourage internal adoption
    • Organizing quarterly presentations to the team and the company to encourage best technical practices, present new features/major versions, and promote the project's goals and vision
