Betclic is a company in the sports betting and online gaming sector.

The group has approximately 1,600 employees, including ~700 tech specialists, and operates from Bordeaux with an international presence.

At this scale (~5 million connected players and ~1 billion transactions per month), Tech is structured to handle massive volumes, ensure reliability, and continuously evolve the platform.

I joined the Alternative Payment Methods (APM) & Transfo squad.

I contributed to the evolution of the Betclic web app, the Payment sub-app, and back-offices (transactions & regulations).

Main focus: deposit/withdrawal flows and payment process transformation.

The team consisted of 9 developers, 1 PO, 2 QAs, and 1 Engineering Manager.

My responsibilities:

→ Upgrading Angular to version 20.

→ Developing Payment features (multi-brand, fake brand, etc.).

→ Performance optimization & SSR.

→ UI redesign of transaction and regulation backoffices.

→ Deployment of the Payment sub-app + Datadog monitoring.

→ Bug fixing / run.

“Gordon” Project (asynchronous deposit):

→ Development of an asynchronous deposit flow across all payment methods via gRPC.

→ Integration of new payment providers.

→ Refactoring interfaces with new APIs.

→ Feature flip management (activation based on regulation).

Contributions / results:

→ Delivery of Angular migrations + backoffice UI redesigns and deployment of the Payment sub-app.

→ Implementation and generalization of a multi-method asynchronous deposit flow (gRPC) + provider integration + feature flips.

The company has ~125,000 employees and generated $42.88 billion in revenue in 2024.

I first joined the Core Portal team to develop the microscopist portal for imaging data acquisition and visualization software for a range of electron microscopes.

I then joined the Life Science team, where I was the front-end technical lead, to enhance analysis/visualization features (2D/3D imaging, plugins) and accelerate the reduction of technical debt.

The teams consisted of 5 developers, 1 QA, 1 PO, and 1 manager.

Core Portal Squad:

→ Authentication, access rights, metadata, navigation within the microscope's file system.

→ Integration of a new design system.

Life Science BU:

→ Development of 2D/3D viewers and plugins based on acquisition techniques.

→ Front-end reference: technical scoping, code reviews, standards alignment, developer support on UI/architecture topics.

→ Technical debt reduction: library extraction, version upgrades, refactoring.

→ Extraction of legacy features into a new dedicated workspace.

Contributions / results:

→ Delivery and consolidation of the Core Portal (access, metadata, file navigation) + adoption of the design system.

→ Strengthening of the Life Science scope (2D/3D viewers, plugins) + sanitation of the foundation (legacy → workspace, technical debt).

→ Implementation of a more homogeneous front-end framework (standards, review practices, UI consistency).

Haryon is a startup in the cybersecurity sector, specializing in penetration testing automation and continuous security validation.

I joined the team in an R&D / consulting role to participate in the proof of concept for Knock Xplore: a cybersecurity dashboard application for visualizing and exploring SI vulnerabilities (CVE) and its network mapping.

The team consisted of 4 developers, 1 AI expert (CTO), 1 cyber expert, and 1 CEO.

My responsibilities:

→ Design and develop a dashboard to explore vulnerabilities (CVE) from automated scans.

→ Implement network visualization (force-directed) to represent SI mapping.

→ Build an analysis-oriented UX: filters, navigation, scenario planning ("hacker in residence").

→ Contribute to R&D scoping: rapid iterations, feasibility validation, selection of libraries and front-end patterns.

I contributed to the following developments:

→ Delivery of a functional POC "Knock Xplore" to explore and prioritize CVE vulnerabilities.

→ Implementation of interactive network data visualization (force-directed) to accelerate understanding of the SI and attack scenarios.
