This project was carried out on a fixed-price basis in the evenings and on weekends.

The State Real Estate Management Agency (AGILE) is the operational arm of the Directorate of State Real Estate (DIE), serving the State Real Estate Policy (PIE).

The State's real estate portfolio represents 96 million square meters and over 195,000 buildings of various types and characteristics, spread across the entire country. AGILE's mission is to modernize, develop, manage, and enhance the State's portfolio, deploying its recognized expertise in all real estate domains.

🏢 Context:

AGILE operates on all State buildings to reduce their consumption. The need was to create an Excel tool capable of applying the IPMVP method on a large scale according to various criteria to consolidate the energy savings linked to the actions taken by the study engineers.

🤛 Actions:

Development of an Excel VBA Tool to:

• Retrieve Invoice, P10, and HDD data via Power Query

• Calculate IPMVP models (taking into account R² CV-RMSE, relative bias)

• Select different possible models (classic HDD, Pivot HDD, Heating Period)

• Visualize cumulative savings on a Dashboard

🎯 Results:

Confirmation of expected energy savings using the IPMVP method.

Deployment of Power BI to replace and improve existing client reports.

🏢 Context:

The company produces hotel activity observation reports for its clients. The reports are created from SQL queries and several Excel files.

❌ Problems:

• Reports are time-consuming to produce, on average: 4 hours

• Manual copy-pasting of all tables and charts from Excel files into PowerPoint is required

• No documentation regarding report production

• Creation process leads to numerous errors

• Large file sizes (slow performance)

• Unnecessary and inconsistent links between multiple files

• Smaller file sizes (Power BI 6MB vs. several Excel files over 100MB)

• Acculturation: Teams were not using Power BI and were reluctant to change the production method => Today, teams are autonomous and understand the value and power of Power BI for data reliability and the production of elegant, distributable reports
