About Maxime

Mechanical engineering student — SolidWorks CAD design & technical drawing

Student in BUT Mechanical Engineering and Production at IUT of Nîmes, I design and model your technical parts on SolidWorks, with a rigorous approach inherited from my experience as project manager on an RC dragster project (coordination of 4 technical subgroups: architecture, braking, propulsion, steering).
I can assist you with:

3D modeling of parts (creation or reverse engineering from dimensions/photos)
Technical drawing with ISO standardized dimensioning
Preparation of STL/STEP files optimized for 3D printing or CNC machining
CNC programming (G-code, turning/milling) if the part needs to be machined
Complete manufacturing files (part validation, production process)

Technical skills: SolidWorks, plan reading/interpretation, structural dimensioning, CNC programming (Fanuc), additive manufacturing technologies (FDM, SLA/MSLA).
I work with clear deadlines and direct communication at each stage — you know where your project stands.
Available in the evenings and on weekends to discuss your needs and provide a free quote.
Indicative rate: starting from €25/h depending on the complexity of the part (personalized quote before any start).

Here is a description focused on your actual CAD level, without overselling:

    CAD Level:
Intermediate CAD level, acquired during my BUT Mechanical Engineering and Production (2nd year) at IUT of Nîmes.
I master SolidWorks for 3D modeling of mechanical parts (simple to moderately complex parts, assemblies) and technical drawing with ISO standardized dimensioning. I applied these skills on a concrete project from start to finish: the design of an RC dragster, where I modeled and validated several parts (suspensions, brackets, structural elements), including manufacturing files and preparation of files for 3D printing (STL) and CNC machining (G-code, turning/milling on Fanuc).
I also know the basics of structural dimensioning (DDS) and the constraints related to different manufacturing processes (FDM/SLA 3D printing, machining), which allows me to design parts that are realistic and manufacturable, not just visually appealing on screen.
I don't have senior engineer experience yet, but I compensate with rigor, met deadlines, and a real understanding of manufacturing constraints — useful for parts intended to be actually produced.
