Interrupted by lockdown, this internship aimed to integrate industrial work while discovering the entertainment field. During this internship, I was able to carry out a preliminary project to create a rotating platform 9 meters in diameter. The entire structure was studied and designed in close collaboration with my internship supervisor.

Following a process developed by the organization's laboratory, the goal was to industrialize the process. A functional analysis was conducted in the field to take into account all the needs and constraints of the project. Following this analysis, several solutions were proposed. By comparing with several criteria (deadline, technical complexity, performance), a meeting with the project managers allowed discussion of the chosen solution. After validation of one of the solutions, a detailed mechanical design was carried out, supported by a cost estimate. The project was finalized to provide the opportunity to prototype and validate the technical solution.

The objective was to reduce the effort required to lift a system that adjusts the height of a hospital bed. A mechanical study was conducted, first theoretical and then numerical. Following the validation of the results, two optimization proposals were made. The first respected a client constraint requesting to lower the effort required by the actuator into a lower range to reduce production costs. A second proposal was made aiming for long-term improvement by allowing a slight modification of their original bed lifting system design.
