Maurizio Boigk

As an Assistant Manager in Data, AI & Business Transformation, I support banks and companies in the successful implementation of complex transformation and digitalization projects. I combine strategic consulting, project management, and technological implementation to develop sustainable solutions.

My focus is on the conception and introduction of AI and data-driven applications. I guide companies in integrating Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Agentic AI into existing business processes. I develop prototypes and production-ready solutions in Python and work closely with business departments and technical teams.

In addition to technical implementation, I manage complex projects at the interface between business and IT. This includes planning and coordinating project activities, stakeholder management, portfolio steering, and moderating workshops and management formats. Furthermore, I support organizations with AI maturity assessments, the development of AI governance structures, and the identification of suitable use cases for the productive use of Artificial Intelligence.

Another focus of my work is the development of data-based decision-making foundations. For this purpose, I design forecasting models, KPI frameworks, and analyses for performance and profitability management. Additionally, I support the introduction of modern software development practices such as Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD, and agile working methods.

My goal is to combine technical innovations with measurable business value and to support companies in implementing their transformation initiatives efficiently, structurally, and sustainably.

As a research associate at the Fraunhofer Institute, I developed data-driven simulation and decision models for the analysis and optimization of emergency and crisis response systems in urban regions. The goal was to model complex interrelationships and create reliable decision-making bases for public institutions and research partners.

My focus was on the conception and implementation of digital twin and simulation models, as well as the development of stochastic forecasting methods based on historical data, weather information, and other external influencing factors. Modern methods of data analysis, mathematical modeling, and statistical simulation were used.

In addition to technical development, I worked closely with partners from administration, industry, and research. I organized and moderated workshops, identified new innovation potentials, and translated complex scientific questions into practical solutions. Furthermore, I published research results in the field of urban resilience and simulation-based decision support.

This experience shaped my ability to analyze complex problems structurally, develop data-based solutions, and successfully bring together diverse stakeholders – skills that I now apply in transformation, data, and AI projects.
