Development of an application for processing metadata from internal BI systems for further processing. Provision of an interface for maintaining this data. The core of the application was the search functionality with keywords and facets.

The metadata of the databases were collected regularly by jobs (django commands).

- Implementation of functional requirements (e.g., from the area of Data Governance) according to stakeholder needs

- Participation in the conception of new product features and implementation in the existing front-end or back-end

- Further development of the Data Catalog with MaterialUI and TypeScript in the front-end and Python, Django (RESTframework) and Elasticsearch in the back-end

- Development of APIs and corresponding validation

- Migration of an on-premise solution to Google Cloud using Terraform and subsequent expansion

- Team size: 8 people

Backend work

Provision of user-related data, access authorization for various content through different roles, functionality for the front-end

• Processing of requests from the React front-end via GraphQL

• Implementation of the GraphQL Schema

• Provision of data through queries with the implementation of filters and development of types

• Provision of functionality by implementing mutations for the front-end's indirect access to the database

• Creation of models for migration to PostgreSQL via Django-ORM

• Refactoring of legacy code

• Automated sending of emails after creating a new user, creation of email templates with html

• Test script to ensure authentication and session functionality

• Automated loading of data via django-admin
