Context

Comalia, a software publisher, has been selling a national SAAS solution for managing telecommunication line work for over 10 years. I was hired as quality manager in this human-sized company, strictly following the Agile methodology.
The Comalia solution has a very strong business focus; the people most capable of functionally testing desktop and mobile applications are those from the telecom network business.

I therefore proposed the design and development of an internal platform for creating and executing functional tests.
As the first users were non-technical business people (Po, Po proxy, support..), test creation and execution are done through user-friendly web interfaces.

The Symepty Platform

The advantages are multiple:

> Industrialize/Automate/Centralize tests previously performed manually
> Free up time for business people by relieving them of functional / end-to-end tests
> Allow users to create their own tests from the building blocks provided by Symepty
> Via an automatically generated web API (JSON/REST), easily integrate tests deemed 'vital' into a CI (gitlab here)

The two main application technologies used are Symfony 4 & Codeception, their independence ensured by a micro-services type architecture. Symepty was also designed to query any web application and perform cross-application functional tests.

The Trainings

The trainings, each lasting 8 months including 7 weeks in a company, prepare for the state-recognized professional title "software developer" of level III (bac +2).
With the support of Aformac, I was therefore led to develop the company's knowledge networks in the IT sector of Limousin throughout my mission.

The trainings are essentially composed of projects to be carried out. The projects were continuously adapted to meet the groups' motivations as much as possible while placing them in real company contexts (known issues, constraints, teamwork, tools, etc.).
Some projects were based on very recent technologies such as Symfony 4, which I master, or Angular 2.5, which I learned about at the same time as my students.

Throughout the trainings, I also organized internal or public events, technical or non-technical; inauguration, hackathon, company visit, IT exhibition visit, and many others.

Under the responsibility of the technical project manager Mr. Combe from Docapost, I worked on a multitude of projects. The 'Gamme RH' solution is the one I worked on the most during my mission at Docapost.

Project: ‘Gamme RH’
▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀
'Gamme RH' is a SaaS HR management solution for medium and large companies (>100,000 employees)

I was involved in the very first phases of the 'Gamme RH' project. With my expertise in Drupal 7 and software quality, I supported the various project stakeholders in the product design.

Subsequently, a first marketable version of the product was developed by a third-party IT engineering company. During this phase of several months:

▷ I continued to support the MOA in the design of future product evolutions
▷ I acted as an interface between the MOA and the MOE, ensuring, among other things, the quality of deliveries
▷ I ensured the setup of the various technical environments (application servers, database servers, load balancing, ...) to host the application internally.

For the first delivered version, Docapost mobilized an internal development team to continue developing the platform. I was involved in recruitment, training and support of the team, as well as in the costing and development of product evolutions.
