Marie-Alice Thierry-Portmann

I have been an HR Director for over 15 years in diverse, French, and international environments. I am a lawyer by training and a graduate of HEC's CESA program.

After traveling the world and managing hundreds of human situations, I decided to make my experience in human relations available to men, women, and companies.

I am convinced that to create value, a company must aim for the well-being of its employees. I believe this approach is both individual and collective and requires leadership commitment. To achieve this, one must be convinced that happiness and work are compatible.

But what is happiness? I do not claim to answer this question, which is philosophical, spiritual, collective, and personal. From my perspective, happiness is a point of view on events and people, an ability to create a high-quality relationship and a fulfilling environment.

The company is a place of human life and human experiences.

I deeply believe in human potential and its ability to constantly create and transform itself to improve. And I think this potential is a formidable lever for work communities, individual development, and business growth.

I will conclude my remarks with this quote from Leo Tolstoy, reminding us that when a will (individual or collective) meets an objective, anything becomes possible: If you want to be happy, be so!
