About María

I help people, brands, and organizations find the stories that allow them to move forward.

Over my nearly 15-year career, I have worked in strategy, communication, creativity, and innovation for brands in almost every sector. Although the projects have been very different from each other, I have always ended up in the same place: narratives.

Because when an organization doesn't know how to tell who it is, it usually has difficulty deciding where it's going. And when it finds a clear and honest story, new possibilities arise: to communicate, to connect, to lead, or to grow.

That's why my work consists of listening, asking questions, organizing ideas, and building narratives that generate movement.

I especially focus on projects related to brand strategy, positioning, storytelling, content, facilitation of creative processes, and communication.

My purpose is simple: to transform by narrating.

Not because stories change the world on their own, but because they help people imagine it differently. And sometimes that's the beginning of a transformation.

For two academic years, I had the opportunity to share my knowledge of brand creation and storytelling with students in the 4th year of Interior Design and Product Design at the European Institute of Design, through various subjects and workshops.

    - "Design and Brand" / Academic Years 2019 - 2020.
How is a brand created? Where do you start? How is the story of that brand built and how is it communicated to its audience? How do you build a "love brand"? And a "meaningful brand"? After seeing the students' projects, I'd say they got it clear :)

    - "Interior Design Project I" / Academic Year 2018 - 2019.
Within the "One Year" international program taught at the Design School, I tried to answer the following question: How to design functional spaces that have meaning and tell stories?

    - "Ephemeral tribute to the Bauhaus" / Academic Year 2019.
An experimental workshop at the Design School to commemorate the first centenary of the architecture and design school that laid the foundations of modernity, thanks to the balance between rupture and reinvention. Therefore, the workshop proposes students to create an ephemeral installation based on a pre-existing concept and materials that gave life to another ephemeral installation, elsewhere.
    - "Space design for new mobility models." How can storytelling applied to urban planning address the challenges posed by new mobility models and services?

    PRESS AND MEDIA
    October 2018 - Today (7 years and 9 months)
For the past two years, I have been collaborating with the global leader in non-fiction entertainment within the Spanish market. My work includes, among other things:
    - Creative content planning for monetizable social media platforms (YT, FB, IG) for DMAX and DKISS channels.
    - Creative content writing for these platforms. Primarily scripts and pieces for social media monetization.
    - Promotion of DPLAY, Discovery's streaming platform.
    - Content viewing and curation. This is the craziest part. I've seen things I never thought I'd see and learned enough to duel anyone at Trivial Pursuit. And win, of course. I might watch "Clandestino," or "Fuera de Control" or "Desmontando la historia," or "Mi vida con 300 kg," or "5 por sorpresa" or other programs that are true guilty pleasures (like Coixet's films).

The audience has proven us right.

Thanks to this work, in 2 years, the DMAX YouTube channel has received the Silver Creator Award (given for exceeding 100,000 subscribers) and the Golden Creator Award, after surpassing one million subscribers.
