About Mare

I help small and medium-sized teams to organize their workflows and bring AI into operations reliably and securely. My work combines technical implementation with the actual workflows of an operation: from the data structure in the background to the user interface that is ultimately used.

In practice, I operate on several levels:
  • Data and Architecture: Analyzing existing systems, designing viable data models and architectures, and performing migrations from legacy systems (e.g., to PostgreSQL) without interrupting ongoing operations.
  • Knowledge and Structure: Organizing and making explicit scattered business logic, and building a common foundation—from wikis, living documentation, and databases that can be used equally by teams and AI agents.
  • Application and Automation: Backend, frontend, and API integrations (including Python, TypeScript, Next.js), automating recurring processes, and translating complex technology into user interfaces that can be operated without prior knowledge.

  • Operations and Security: Setting up deployment and version control, and paying attention to security and data protection from the start, because real operational and customer data is involved.

This breadth is made possible by using AI across tools and continuously acquiring the necessary knowledge as new requirements arise.

Background: Studied economics in Japan, then fine arts in Germany. The same way of thinking that gives a painting a clear form helps me today to translate scattered business knowledge into a viable data model.

    AI Workflow Engineer
    DIGITAL AND IT
    September 2025 - Today (11 months)
    Leipzig, Germany

Reorganization of operational processes for exe.network UG (Leipzig), a creative network with around 80 artists, which distributes its own apparel and merchandise products internationally. Since September 2025, with varying intensity (part-time, six months full-time, continuing part-time).

Initial situation: Legacy systems with high technical debt—Airtable, Make.com, Webflow, manual DHL processing, scattered sheets. No central data model.

Focus: Organizing and making explicit the scattered business logic—breaking it down into clearly defined business domains, building an internal wiki, and designing a data foundation that can be reliably used by the team and AI agents.

    Knowledge and Data Foundation
    • Internal wiki and living documentation across all business domains
    • Normalized data model in PostgreSQL/Supabase, migration from Airtable without operational interruption
    • AI-readable foundation on which agents can work securely

    Administration Platform (InternApp)
    • Next.js frontend for products, orders, and customers
    • Shopify integration via webhook and GraphQL
    • Unified operational view instead of scattered tools
    • Test coverage with Playwright, deployment via Vercel

    Day-to-day operations
    • DHL Shipping API V2 (Labels, Tracking), Proforma for non-EU shipping, SKU system
    • Complex APIs translated into a user interface, operable without technical prior knowledge

    Accompanying AI-assisted decision-making with documented trade-offs.

Core of the work: an operational structure in which humans and AI can work together reliably.
AI Automation Data Migration Process Optimization
