Manuel Rouven Sohns

I am Manuel Sohns, founder of Studio Sohns from Birkenfeld. For over 10 years, I have been working full-time in e-commerce — as a shop manager with OXID eShop as the primary platform. This includes: independently setting up and operating an OXID shop, Makaira storefront development, and interfaces to ERP and marketplaces.

What I have done specifically:

Setup and further development of an online shop based on OXID. Independently developed a company-wide SEO strategy with budget responsibility. Integration of five online marketplaces (Amazon, Kaufland, OTTO, Galaxus, TikTok). Technical implementation of Click & Collect and store availability. Module and plugin development. Migration of the company website to a WordPress multisite architecture. Frontend work on a headless e-commerce architecture (Makaira Storefront). Development of internal tools: picking list app for logistics, web application integration tool, report dashboards for key figures, GDPR checkup portal, and RDP remote management for MDE devices, interface optimization between shop, ERP (pixi, Microsoft NAV), and third-party systems.

What I offer as a freelancer:

Setting up, optimizing, and maintaining online shops (OXID, Shopware, WooCommerce, Shopify)

Marketplace connections and multichannel integration

ERP and merchandise management interfaces (REST, SOAP, GraphQL). Technical SEO, mobile apps with React Native (two own apps in the App Store), server administration, hosting configuration, deployments, and security audits.

I work in a structured way, document transparently, and think outside the box. Quality, data protection, and accessibility are not afterthoughts for me, but part of the process.
