Manuel Mestre

With an initial background as a general engineer from Arts & Métiers, I obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering and taught in scientific preparatory classes for 40 years. In parallel, I defended a thesis at the Ecole Normale de Cachan, focusing on signal processing applications and Bayesian prediction for mechanical part metrology.

Following this thesis, I participated as an expert in the Surface States commission of the Union de Normalisation de la Mécanique, and worked as a freelancer on numerous industrial projects in the fields of mechanics and optics. I filed an international patent application for the optimization of Shack-Hartmann wavefront analyzers. I then fully developed a world-class interferogram analysis software, currently marketed by a German startup.

In addition to scientific and technical expertise, I never lose sight of human relationships, adaptation to user needs, the acceptability of proposed solutions, and the didactic dimension of interventions.
