Manon Duethe

At CAPLab, I assist the public in discovering digital manufacturing tools and developing creative projects, while ensuring the technical management of the fablab.

Main responsibilities:

- Welcoming, assisting, and advising members with their manufacturing projects.

- Facilitating teen clubs: project design, youth mentoring, and multi-month follow-up.

- Organizing and leading workshops to introduce digital technologies to school groups (middle and high schools).

- Managing, maintaining, and providing support for the use of the machine park:

3D printers, laser cutter, 3D scanner, CNC wood router, heat press, thermoformer...

This role allows me to combine mediation, design, and manufacturing, by supporting users in experimentation, prototyping, and creation.

I participated in the creation of the visual communication for the Pantheon for the Pantheon Nights event, which offered a nighttime flashlight tour focusing on the monument's prominent figures. The project included the design of games, presentation content, and mediation materials, as well as the creation of posters, banners, flyers, and postcards.

After an internship at the end of 2022, I joined Studio ROOF in 2024 as a graphic designer and object designer. At this international studio specializing in decorative objects made from recycled paper, I contributed to the development of five collections, from concept to finished product. I notably participated in the development of Hummingbird, which became one of the brand's best-sellers after its launch at Maison & Objet 2024.

- Design and development of object collections.

- Graphic design and packaging creation.

- Preparation and art direction for photo shoots.

- Creation of visual content for communication.

- Production of prototypes and mock-ups.

- Design of shop windows, scenographies, and stands.

Notable projects:

- Stands for Maison & Objet (2023 & 2024) and Shoppe Object (New York, 2023).

- Window displays and installations for Le BHV Marais, Fleux', and the Studio ROOF store in Paris.

- Collaboration with UND Studio and designer Jantien Baas on an outdoor furniture project for Brookfield Properties (Berlin).

- Creation of sets and costumes for the Studio ROOF 20th-anniversary photo shoot, with full-scale fabrication in paper, cardboard, papier-mâché, and painted wood.
