Within an international team, managed the infrastructure responsible for Sierra Wireless's MVNO.

Hybrid environment on-premise and in the cloud (AWS, Azure).

The infrastructure consists of a set of servers running Windows Server and Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Alma Linux) as well as several VMware vSphere 7 SDDCs.

Our team supports all of Sierra Wireless's MVNO activities and maintains the services and systems associated with our global mobile network.

Our team is responsible for:

- an infrastructure composed of several data centers spread between the USA and various European countries

- enterprise storage solutions (Purestorage, HPe, Dell)

- core services such as DNS, LDAP, AD, etc.

- VMware virtualization infrastructures for production, development, and QA.

As a Staff Engineer (Expert Engineer), my role is to participate in the operational maintenance of our infrastructure but also, and primarily, to ensure its evolution by conducting proactive technological monitoring of changes in our businesses and the evolution of practices and standards.

Sierra Wireless is a provider of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions. The company sells mobile broadband wireless modules, routers, and gateways and offers a wide range of machine-to-machine (M2M) communication services that operate on 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G networks. Sierra Wireless is also a global mobile virtual network operator (MVNO).

Subsidiary of the RATP Smart Systems group.

Within the Infrastructure team, managed an on-premise hosted infrastructure composed of over 500 Linux servers (Debian) supporting more than 12 million unique monthly visitors on the Mappy.com website and its namesake application.

Within the IT-Infrastructure BUILD "Linux" team at CFM*, composed of 5 people, we administer and provide the entire basic Linux technical stack for the entire company, including but not limited to:

- A fleet of several thousand on-prem Linux servers (RedHat, CentOS, Debian), automation with Puppet, installation via kickstart (Anaconda)

- VMware vSphere 6.x infrastructure suite

- Enterprise storage solutions (Purestorage, Netapp, Dell, EMC², HP 3PAR) and their FC/SAS interconnects

- HPC distributed storage solutions (Lustre FS)

- HPC clusters for scientific computing (Slurm)

- Metrology and supervision based on Nagios / Grafana / HBase / OpenTSDB / ELK

- Scripting and development in Python

- Graphical environment for our developers and researchers (NoMachine NX)

- Core infrastructure: DHCP, DNS, LDAP, Postfix

- Atlassian products: JIRA, Confluence, Crowd

CFM is one of the largest French investment funds (Hedge Fund) with over 250 employees in Paris, London, New York, Sydney, and Tokyo, and over $10 billion under management in 2018. CFM applies a scientific approach to developing investment strategies on behalf of its clients. More than half of the employees work in IT, and a quarter in scientific research.
