Ma Belén Gómez

- Responsible for the design and implementation of the management strategy of a 10M€ project in the health-sector that involved 14 international institutions.

- Analysis of the existing management protocols in the grant management office, design and implementation of improved protocols. Simplification strategy towards a more user-friendly and efficient management.

- Mentor for EU coordinated project managers.

CUSP is a research cluster on microplastics comprising 5 European projects involving 75 institutions and a budget of 30 million euros. My work consisted of:

- Evaluation of the existing governance structure.

- Development of a new governance structure with an emphasis on agile management and communication, which reduced response times.

- Focus on internal and external communication and fostering synergies

HIGHLIGHT ACHIEVEMENT:

I led and coordinated a team composed of policy experts, internal reviewers, graphic designers, and the communication team, to ensure the timely delivery of the group's first policy brief to European Commission officials, meeting a very tight deadline for this task.

Project Manager of the Nanomol group, a research group in molecular electronics and bionanomaterials with more than 30 members.

I worked on the preparation and submission of proposals for competitive public research funding. Elaboration and monitoring of indicators. I managed a total of 25 grants from various public funds.
