About Luisa

Member of the FFP (French Landscape Federation), I am a landscape architect, certified by the French Ministry of Ecological and Inclusive Transition as a Designer Landscape Architect.

For about twenty years in Italy and more recently in France as well, as an independent professional or as a member of a multidisciplinary team, I have carried out numerous projects for private gardens, public spaces, and protected areas, studies for landscape management and conservation, as well as urban planning operations.

Fascinated by all scales of space, as links between humans and natural environments, I am particularly interested in the enhancement and restoration of historical gardens and sites. A historical garden or park, which has traversed decades or centuries, is, in most cases, the result of a harmonious relationship between the natural identity of the site and the humans who have interacted with it in a respectful and creative way. To intervene in such a context means to engage with curiosity and humility in a story rich in meaning and fascination.

Three keywords in my professional approach:
  • Listening: Regardless of the size of a garden or landscape, listening to the place and its history is an essential attitude for understanding the identity and uniqueness of a site.
  • Maintenance: The plan or project for a garden or park does not exist without maintenance. Gardens are indeed artificial ecosystems, processes in constant evolution and not a finished, immobile product. Maintenance must therefore be an essential aspect from the design stage.
  • Fullness: The design of new developments must refer to classical rules of proportion in order to achieve a sense of harmony with the existing and the surroundings, and of belonging. To this end, solutions focused on the human scale, sustainable and adapted to climate change must be used.
