Lucie Lelong

I am a model maker specializing in the creation of architectural, scenographic, and artistic models. Trained at École Boulle and then at the Arts Décoratifs, I develop a precise and material approach to scale models, where technique and manual skill are central. I primarily work with wood, which I cut, sculpt, and assemble with an emphasis on finesse and clarity. My models are distinguished by a sense of detail and an intuitive understanding of space, inherited from my experience in scenography. I don't just reproduce; I interpret and highlight architectural intentions. My work also incorporates plaster casts, hand-worked textures, and the use of real materials, chosen to best convey the character of a place or project. Solid wood, plaster, fabrics, special papers, resins... each material is selected with great tactile and visual sensitivity. An essential aspect of my work is vegetation. I pay special attention to creating green landscapes: I craft trees, recompose flower beds, and use many dried flowers that I gather in nature. I dry them myself, dye them, transform them, and give them a second life in miniature.
