About Lucas

I design embedded products from A to Z — software architecture, electronics, mechanics — without the client having to coordinate multiple, non-communicating service providers. This is a rare profile, and often the most effective for hardware projects with tight budgets and deadlines.
As an Arts et Métiers engineer (ENSAM), I spent seven years designing and delivering complete systems in an entrepreneurial environment. Two concrete examples:
–Horus Slicer: a complete C++/Qt 3D slicer developed from scratch: geometric slicing engine, automatic support generation, multithreaded pipeline, QML interface. Integrated into an industrial DLP printer that resulted in two patents.
–Horus3D Embedded Framework: a modular Qt/C++ framework on which three industrial embedded applications are based. Established design patterns, asynchronous sequence engine. The third application was delivered in a fraction of the time of the first.
On the electronics side, I have designed over ten PCBs using KiCad — system motherboard (Raspberry Pi CM4, EMC certified), 220V power boards (triacs, EU/US EMC tests), ultrasonic and capacitive sensors. On the mechanical side, I master machine design and design for manufacturing for small series (DFM).
The missions where I add the most value: hardware startup without a technical team, mid-sized company with a machine to modernize, rapid prototyping projects with time constraints. I am the single point of contact for the three product layers — which eliminates interface risks and speeds up delivery.
