Here's how I proceed when a client places an order:

1) Before recording the entire text, I record 3 tones on the first paragraph.

2) The client chooses the tone they prefer.

3) I then record the entire text with the requested tone. This avoids multiple back-and-forths.

Then, I do as many retakes as necessary, at no extra cost.
