Lorenzo Bergonzi

I am founder and CTO of MaCh3D, a startup that deals with Material Testing. MaCh3D has developed and builds a miniaturized material testing machine (UTM) that allows to bring the qualification activity of materials from the laboratories directly to the production departments: Winners of the 2018 edition of the "Nuove Nuove Imprese" competition

I started collaborating with this consulting firm during my bachelor's thesis as a student. I working as a specialising in finite element simulations and mechanical design. In particular, I worked in the field of furniture, metal carpentry, composites and rail following projects for clients such as Xylem, Poltrona Frau, Wabtec, Medtronic, among others. As member of the e-FEM team, I participated in developing machines for the food and pharmaceutical industry at Gelmini Macchine and Idroinox Impianti.

Starting from 2017 I have held courses in finite element analysis (FEM), CAD and design for Additive Manufacturing at various professional and higher education institutions in the province of Parma, such as ITS Maker in Fornovo di Taro, CISITA, FormaFuturo.
