- DECATHLON SELead DevSPORTSApril 2023 - Today (3 years and 4 months)Villeneuve-d'Ascq, FranceContext:I was invited to participate in the industrialization process of the GPS project, whose main objective is to deeply analyze the surrounding living areas of stores, in conjunction with evaluating their performance. This approach seeks to map and understand the socio-economic dynamics influencing commercial activities, in order to identify strategic opportunities. My mission:As mentioned above, the goal was to move from a proof of concept to a fast, reliable, and scalable product within a small team composed of a Product Owner, a full-time developer, and another shared developer. I directed the technical choices towards a more environmentally responsible approach and also participated in the development. The mission ended when the project's functionalities were integrated into a larger, more comprehensive one. Some metrics:- The average application responsiveness improved from 3 to 6 seconds depending on interactions, with a few incompressible milliseconds due to infrastructure.- Average data consumption over a usage cycle was reduced by 80%.- There was a significant decrease in resources needed on the client-side, as well as on the back-end.- SonarCloud's evaluation improved from scores ranging from A to D depending on the metrics, to A on every metric.- Originally, there was no documentation for the functions. Today, approximately 90% of the back-end functions are documented, as well as the critical front-end functions, mainly in the data managers.
- lacosteFront End DeveloperLUXURY GOODSJuly 2022 - February 2024 (1 year and 8 months)As part of a pivot to adopt a more agile organization, Lacoste needed to strengthen its teams, particularly with front-end expertise. Facing performance issues, they were looking for profiles sensitive to these types of problems.Mission:
- One of my tasks, and probably the most exciting, was to propose a more performant, maintainable, and lighter solution for the front-end application: the result is a solution that relies on current standards and a 6x reduction in network load (excluding media) as well as memory load.
- Participation in improving code quality by documenting the code and also by implementing unit and functional tests.
- Continuous development of the front-end for the Lacoste e-commerce site.
- Addition of tracking elements to the interface.
- Participation in the agile train: daily, grooming, quarterly planning, etc.
- FullStackBeaverLead Dev / ArchitectTECHDecember 2017 - Today (8 years and 8 months)Clermont-Ferrand, FranceI support, design, and develop turnkey solutions for clients seeking fast, robust, and secure applications where user experience is at the heart of the project. Each service includes the design of the technical architecture, as well as the writing of the specifications, up to finding partners if necessary (e.g., for the production of a hardware component), and of course, the development followed by support. Thus, my field of action can be grouped under 7 roles:
- Requirements gathering and analysis
- Writing functional specification documents
- Schedule management
- Team animation and coordination
- Test and acceptance management
- Action and deliverable tracking
- User support and training
From a technical stack perspective, my area of expertise is mainly focused on JavaScript technologies (ES5, ES6, web workers, socket, ajax, node.js, cordova / phonegap and as much vanilla as possible), PHP, MQTT, and whenever possible with a microservice-type architecture.
