Lieven Dumon

I am an experienced sales and retail manager with over fourteen years of management experience in food, retail, and DIY. Throughout my career, I have combined commercial responsibility with strong people management and a hands-on approach.

At Makro, as Sales Manager Food, I was responsible for eight departments and approximately 120 employees. Subsequently, at Zelfbouwmarkt, I was responsible for the entire sales operation. There, I managed seven specialized inside sales teams, totaling about 50 sales advisors. Each team worked with its own sales targets and KPIs.

My strength lies in translating commercial strategy into clear action plans and concrete results. I enjoy working with numbers and KPIs, while remaining close to people and daily operations. Guiding teams, bringing structure, improving performance, and developing employees energizes me.

My experience on the retail side is also a strong asset for suppliers and FMCG companies. I understand how retailers view margins, assortment, promotions, customer experience, and in-store execution. This allows me to not only strategically assess commercial plans but also to estimate what is needed to implement them successfully.

I work independently, take responsibility, and am accustomed to making decisions. My style is clear, coaching, analytical, and results-oriented, with a strong focus on sales management, commercial excellence, operational management, and team development.
