Laure Ourmieres

After a baccalaureate in visual arts at Lycée Michelet in Montauban, I continued my studies at the École Supérieure des Arts Appliqués Duperré in Paris, where I obtained a degree in Fashion, Textile and Environment. My career began at Paul & Joe, where I worked for four years and discovered my true calling: pattern creation. I continued in children's fashion, with the brands Absorba and Petit Bateau, before joining Monoprix, where I worked for ten years as a textile designer. These experiences allowed me to refine my style, consolidate my mastery of color harmonies, and broaden my graphic expression. My preferred tools — inks, paints, nib pens, and colored pencils — reflect a manual and instinctive drawing practice. Driven by a desire for independence and experimentation, I founded my studio, Fox in the Snow, in 2014. I collaborate with major French and international fashion and decoration brands... for whom I create prints, as well as with the publishing world: in 2023, I published the children's book 'Faune du monde entier' (Wildlife from around the world). Passionate and sensitive, I see my work as a way to observe, translate, and share the beauty of life through pattern and color. One of my areas of focus is the stylistic approach to color and patterns, addressing aesthetic and intuitive challenges, integrating trends and client needs.
