I am Laura, a translator from German and English into French.

I graduated from the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting at the University of Geneva, where I obtained a Master's degree in Translation and Technology (specializing in terminology).

My preferred fields are music (I have been a musician since childhood), medicine (general, neurology, genetics), outdoor sports (particularly cycling, mountain biking, Nordic skiing, and hiking), and tourism. I am, of course, capable of translating texts in general fields.

I am very available, as I started my freelance translation career a year ago. I have worked on translation and post-editing projects in the medical field and in artificial intelligence for clients who were very satisfied with my work. I mainly work on projects related to these fields and cycling.

I am proficient in many CAT tools thanks to my training: SDL Trados, MemoQ, Matecat, Wordfast, Virtaal, SDL Passolo, Office suite.

I also have an SDL Trados license (freelancer 2022).

I am dynamic, curious, and always meet my deadlines.

I set my fees based on the degree of specialization of the project and charge per word, like most of my colleagues. Do not hesitate to contact me for a quote!
