Experience

  • Édifice (ex Open Digital Education)
    Product Designer
    June 2023 - June 2024 (1 year)
    Paris, France
Scope: I worked on an LMS and Digital Learning Environment for schools, impacting over 9 million users in France and internationally. This platform allows students, parents, teachers, and school staff to communicate, manage school life, and create and share educational content. I therefore designed for various collaborative applications (LMS, course creation, blog, news feeds, dashboards, digital notebooks, document collection, etc.).

The complexity of such dense SaaS solutions has allowed me to strengthen my skills in Product, UX, and UI, from the Discovery phase to the Delivery phase:
    - Discovery & UX Research: interviews, surveys, workshops, and user testing
    - Prototyping: creation and adaptation across multiple themes and device sizes (web and mobile applications).
    - Design System: creation and maintenance of components and guidelines.
    - Lead: collaboration with the Product Manager, presentation of solutions to the product team, and decision-making support.
    - Delivery: testing of components and applications, and adaptation of mockups as needed.

    Key results and learnings:
I managed the complexity of the varied needs of these users. I took into account the existing user habits to avoid disrupting them, respected certain accessibility criteria, ensured consistency with other platform applications, and adapted component display according to roles and access rights. I took care to design modular and scalable navigation and components for different roles, device sizes, and potential functionalities. Finally, by designing for users who may have limited digital skills, I learned to simplify complex user journeys while maintaining a high level of functionality.

    - Atomic UX Research: application of this new insight analysis method.
    - UX Audit, identification of all UX tasks and recommendations.
    - Wireframes, mockups, prototyping on Figma (creation of variants, interactive and responsive components, and UI Kit).
    - Product management & agile methods: integration of design phases into agile sprints, creation and breakdown of user stories, acceptance testing.

    - Standardization and improvement of the UI while respecting the association's visual identity.
    - Definition of business processes for designing a new availability management feature.
