Laura Correa

My name is Correa, Laura. I have been a translator for 6 years.

In Mexico, my home country, I worked for four years in a translation company. My work consisted mainly in the translation and editing of technical, pharmaceutical or medical and legal texts in Spanish, English and French. After two years as a translator, I was promoted to project manager and was responsible for managing the inflow and outflow of translation projects.

With experience in a translation agency that developed my interpersonal skills, I was able to demonstrate my organization and abilities during the various projects I led and for which I implemented translation techniques and tools such as the use of CAT software. However, after 4 years in a translation agency, I decided to go my own way as a freelance translator and continue my studies in France (Master's degree in Cultural Transfers and Translation). In addition, as a continuation of my professional project, I recently undertook the steps and obtained the status of micro-entrepreneur, which gives me the right and legitimacy to practice my profession as a freelance translator in France.
