Evolutionary and corrective maintenance of the FMS system, a franchise management solution for the French group ERAM (brands Eram, Bocage, Texto), a major player in shoe retail in France.

The platform consisted of two subsystems:

1️⃣ A Store Application (single-user point-of-sale software)

2️⃣ An Extranet for the relevant Franchise stakeholders (franchisor, franchisees, store managers)

Store Application – Point of Sale (POS) Software

Mission:

1- Maintenance of several e-commerce websites in a complex environment, covering different Staples Business Units (France/Jpg.fr, Germany/Staples.de, Italy/ mondoffice.com, Spain/ kalamazoo.es,…).

•Evolutionary and corrective maintenance of e-commerce platforms, with a focus on performance and checkout process optimization.

•Development of new features and optimization of existing modules to improve user experience (UX).

•Monitoring and correction of anomalies reported by the QA team.

•Evolutionary maintenance of the shopping cart management module: discount voucher management, promotional rules, additional fees, and validation.

•Evolutionary maintenance of the customer account management module: personal information, addresses, order history, preferences.

•Development of modules related to the product catalog, item recommendations (similar products / best-sellers), and promotional offers.

•Analysis, debugging, and optimization of T-SQL code to improve performance in an e-commerce environment.

2- Maintenance of the Configuration Manager tool

Configuration Manager is an internal application developed in WinForms, intended to manage the configuration bases for different versions of the e-commerce site:

•Refactoring and optimization of existing stored procedures

•Development of WinForms user interfaces

•Design and integration of a merge module in Configuration Manager: The evolution carried out consisted of restructuring configurations by grouping them by functionality, in order to simplify and secure the merge step in the release process.

•Writing technical and functional documentation

•Training teams on the new module

3- Maintenance in VB6/SQL Server of a PIM (Product Information Management) for managing the e-commerce catalog by country and language: products, media, categories, and catalog hierarchy

•Ensure the RUN of a VB6 application for telephone assistance (tickets, user support) and software license management

•Participation in the evolutionary and corrective maintenance of the EBP website, based on a 3-tier architecture.

•Development and optimization of TSQL stored procedures on the EBP database (SQL Server).

•Development of a Service that allows:

- Transfer of web orders to SAP.

( .NET, C#, SAPConnector).

•Development of an SSIS package for data import from call centers:

Extraction of data stored in Excel files, transformation, and storage in the EBP database.
